Today we got back to winning ways against Guilsfield but this was not the best game you are ever likely to see. In a dull first half there were very few efforts on goal and none on target, the only chances came from Guilsfields Gareth Jones but his effort was woefully over the bar from distance and Flints Shaun Beck had a similar chance on 40 minutes and his shoot was also woefully over the bar from distance.
The second half sees Flint liven up slightly and do push forward but have nothing to offer in the final third but we do miss a great opportunity on 62 minutes,Matty Harvey out wide on the right, runs into the box and squares to Nathan Peate but he rushes his shot from 6 yards out with the goal at his mercy. Flint win the game on 74 minutes when Aaron Edwards picks up the ball on the edge of the box and lays in Sam Jones out on the right,Sam runs into the box and shoots low from 10 yards past the advancing Guilsfield keeper. Flint have a scare right at the end when Danny Barton curls in a free kick onto the outside of the post from 20 yards.
Not the best display today but we were never threatened with Mike Jones in the Flint goal not having to save a single shot. We are at home in the league cup next Saturday against Ruthin.
