In our last league game of the campaign we came away with a win at Guilsfield.  In a scrappy first half sees both teams cancel each other out Flints Phill Lloyd doesn't get a great connection on a headed ball down from Matty Harvey on 18 minutes from 6 yards out. Will Thomas weaves past 3 Flint defenders on 23 minutes but could only offer a weak shot straight at Mike Jones. On 37 minutes Flint were guilty of the miss of the game, Ryan Davies sending in a great cross and Shaun Williams only 4 yards out heads wide. From the goal kick Guilsfield take the lead with a combination of slack defending and a static keeper when Will Thomas scores with a trickle shot from the edge of the box. Thomas almost made it 2 for Guilsfield on 44 minutes when he got goal side of Matty Harvey but Jones denied him with a great save.
The second half sees Flint in a different light as we dominated the half and soon got level from a great ball from Stewart Carroll to Shaun Beck and Beck with his shot on the turn slots low into the corner of the net. Flint take the lead on 59 minutes, Ryan Davies sending a great ball up field to Aaron Edwards who with his second touch sends a screamer into the top of the net from 19 yards. Flint could of made it 3 with the move of the game on 69 minutes, Jorden Beck laying in Aaron Edwards and his quality touch inside to Ryan Davies allows Ryan to shoot agonisingly wide from the edge of the box.
A good end to league and now a cup final on Tuesday to concentrate on.
