Another three points to move us up the league but we only just held on at the end as Guilsfied dominated the last 15 minutes in a rather lathargic second half.
Flint played ok in the first half but were almost caught out on 6 minutes when an awful back pass from Luke Camden, committed Flint keeper Richie Walker to run out and head the ball to safety. Flint went ahead on 11 minutes when Lee Davey played over to Mark Winslade and his power and strength won out to see off his marker and his slotted low passed the advancing Littleford into the back of the net. Flint’s Lee Davey almost had a clear run on goal on 25 minutes following a great headed flick on from Gareth Roberts but James O'Reiley denied him with a good last ditch challenge. Flint go two up on 30 minutes as from a Stewart Carroll corner Luke Camden power headed home from 6 yards out. Flint’s keeper was to the rescue of some poor defending 3 minutes later to pull off a great save to denie Jack Harris.
The second half lacked the spark off the first half but it was Flint who had the first chance, Stewart Carroll playing in Mark Winslade but his shot was weak from the edge of the box. Guilsfield pulled one back 63 minutes with a gift of a goal from the Flint defence. Sub Nathan Leonard picking up the ball 22 yards out and casually walks past five Flint players to fire past the dumfounded Walker in Flint’s goal. Guilsfield put on the pressure but Flint had a break on 79 minutes but Gambino hit a tame shot at keeper Littleford from just inside the box when under little pressure. That was the last we see of Flint as an attacking option as they had to hold on with some good keeping and a touch of luck, 81 minutes Richie Walker made a great save to stop a Darren Beech headed effort following a corner. 88 minutes sees the luck element come into play as a brilliant half volley from Gareth Jones from 12 yards out strikes the post, rebounds and hits Walker but the ball went out for a corner. Flint had to endure 6 minutes of stoppage time but held on for a much need win.
