On the back of a successful season for Paul Wilde’s under 16’s squad. Two members of the title winning squad have now signed pro forms for SL clubs.

With talent throughout the squad, there were no surprises that players would be snapped up by some of the Super League elite clubs.

Jack Wells and Lewis Danson signing deals with Wigan Warriors and Salford Red Devils respectively, with Jack Dulhanty now joining Warrington Wolves where he hopes to win a contract in the early stages of 2015.

Jack Wells has seen a huge amount of success at Folly, Wigan and also at Great Britain showing his huge potential. Recently Jack continued on this pathway to the first grade, when he made his academy debut against the touring Australian Schoolboys team. Despite the Aussies and his own team having 3 or 4 years on Jack, he continued to play his usual physical game and made an impressive debut despite having to be replaced following a facial fracture.

Salford Red Devils have also managed to secure another physical player from an outstanding Folly pack, with Lewis Danson continuing his great form that he had showed at scholarship level. Lewis is a determined ball carrying prop forward who continues to make good progress and Paul Wilde is confident that he will make the grade.

Following on from his Lancashire representative debut, Jack Dulhanty continued to turn head of the leading Super League clubs. Warrington Wolves have taken Jack with a view to a contract offer in the early stages of 2015. Jack has shown immense progress at club and now county level, being well known for some great shots in defence Paul Wilde has put his house on Jack being the third player from his team to win a contract.

The club are extremely proud of the team’s achievements last season, but it is with great pleasure that three of our club members have been given the opportunity to further their rugby careers. We would like to wish them all the luck in the world.
