FHP left frustrated with a loss away at Farnborough.....

On a heavy autumnal pitch, both teams started the game at a high tempo. Forest Hill adapted to the conditions and imposed themselves very early with comfortable controlled possession. Some excellent work on the wing from Slav, he turned provider for Marco to find the back of a net with a great strike.

FHP were in complete control of the match , as their build up play opened the doors as further opportunities were created.....but chances were not executed.

Against the run of play Farnborough earned a free kick outside the box, somehow their shot took a deflection for the equaliser.

HT 1-1

With a few substitutions for the second half, both teams were in search of the goal that would give them the advantage. Forest HIll again had majority of possession and created a lot more opportunities, but the host s keeper was in good form along with some last ditch defending, somehow FHP couldn't find the back of the net.

A rare defensive error from FHP, allowed the home side to gain an advantage, the forward took his chance at the second attempt, to score their second goal.

In the remainder of the half, Forest HIll continued to play their football, and inevitably created a few half chances to score .....but with a combination of some good defending and inconclusive finishing.....it wasn't their day.
