An emphatic performance from Forest Hill was too much for the outfit from the Kent Invicta league, as FHP ran riot at Ladywell Arena

After last weeks disappointing resullt, the Forest Hill players knew that a better performance was expected today - they didn't disappoint - as Kent FU felt the full wrath from the hosts. FHP started the game with an intensity that the away side couldn't live with, they opened the scoring after five minutes as in form striker, Venance - called up from the reserves - was put through and showed great composure to slot home past the oncoming keeper.

1-0

FHP were dominating affairs at this stage, by controlling the game in all areas. With a lapse of concentration and against the run of play, KFU replied with a good headed goal from an equally sublime cross.

1-1

Forest Hills response to conceding a goal was extremely positive, by dominating possession, controlling the game and creating further opportunities to score. There were at least two penalty claims as the FHP forwards were brought down in the penalty box, bizarrely enough the referee didn't see it that way. It appeared as though KFU - who play two divisions above- were not showing enough respect to their hosts, by doing so, at their peril, FHP hit a three goal blitz, that all came about from some patient build up play from the whole team. Clinical finishing from Jem to score twice and Slav hit a screamer, leaving the keeper stranded.

4-1

KFU struggled to deal with the technical prowess, fitness and movement of FHP as they were totally out played throughout the half.

4-1 HT

The second half KFU chased and attempted to salvage something from the game, but in all honesty they didn't pose any real threat as FHP defended well and re-gained possession quite easily. The domination of the game and superior fitness levels showed clearly, as FHP created further goal scoring opportunities, chances that really should have been taken. Eventually Jem was fouled in the box, only for the referee to finally point to the spot, as Francois stepped up and confidently scored the fifth goal.

5-1

In summary it was one way traffic from start to finish, it would not have been unfair to say that the goal tally should have been nearer the double figure mark.
