Club Membership 2020/2021

HI All

As we roll into September it is the time of the year when memberships need to be renewed or new members enrolled.

Why does Membership need to be paid?

While I appreciate that rugby has not returned to the format that we are used to, we as a club still have outgoings that need to be paid such as:

• Pitches and Facilities
• Playing Kit and Equipment
• COVID precautions
• Coaching
• CA membership
• Professional Fees
• GRFU Affiliation Fees
• Insurance and Sundries
• Room rentals for Crossbow House
• The refurbishment of The Chainey Room which we are required to complete as part of returning the lease to the CA.

Thanks to the money generated from the fantastic generosity we had through the Just Giving page, along with the fortuity of grants from South Gloucestershire Council and Sport England, we are now in a position to assist in covering the expense of this seasons general outgoings, what it will not do is cover the club for seasons to come and we have to plan financially this year to ensure we have a financially stable club for next season.

As a Club Exec we have agreed on the following membership for the 2020/2021 Season.

Senior Membership

Senior Player - £80 with a £5 Match Fee
Colts/Students and Apprentices - £55
NB: £2.50 Match Fee applies to Students and Apprentices

Please be aware that in order to train or play for the club you have to be a member.

Junior Memberships

Junior/Mini player - £70
Additional siblings - £35 per sibling
U5/U6 - £35
Girls Team U13/U15/U18 - £35

The Junior section has not increased the rate for nearly 10 years and the collective decision has been made to increase this in line with increased costs of the general running of a rugby club, as detail above.

Social Membership – £30 - This will remain the same this season and this is for non-playing members of the club.
Parents of Junior members have this included within their child’s membership costs, similarly full paying Senior players, also have this included within the £80.

You have to have a social membership to be able to enter Crossbow House.

We appreciate this may cause confusion when trying to work out the exact amount you may have to pay, for example if you are a Senior player with siblings, hopefully the table below will explain the costs a little clearer with some additional examples of how the membership breakdown can be worked out.

For all current members you will be contacted directly with this seasons membership form. For new and existing members please refer to the contacts below.

To discuss playing or social membership in more detail please contact your membership Secretary Jonny Briton Tel: 07726503879 / email: j.b.email@blueyonder.co.uk
NB: For Senior members who currently pay through Standing Order this can be discussed with Jonny around its continuation and fees being deducted from any credits.

To discuss Junior Membership in more detail please contact your Junior Chairman Jake Darby Tel: 07900700245 email: jakedarby@hotmail.co.uk or you teams Head Coach.

Alternatively you can contact myself if you would like to discuss anything in any more detail.

Kind Regards
