Bristol RFC U14

Bristol RFC U14 5 - 19 Independent Lambs U14

Pulsating affair between Bristol U14 and the Independent Lambs (English
Independent Schools) today held at Frampton Cotterell RFC or WIA (Hoopers), Captained by Frampton's - Dan Harris in the second half, not for the faint hearted I will add, but played with the right amount of passion/spirit and from the whistle both teams opting to play festival running rugby, the Lambs opened the scoring out wide and then shortly after fine run out wide and then cutting back in to wrong foot the defence, Bristol worked the ball thru a number of phases and got the ball to Keynsham's flying George who scored a cracking try, straight down the touchline, with the game swinging from one end to the other, the Lambs scored a last minute try to widen the score, but it must be said that Bristol came off the pitch with their heads held high, improving over their last outing, with a number of players being able to hold his own against a strong English representative Team.

Vote of thanks to the bar/kitchen staff, Harris Family for temporary catering at Hoopers and Keith Bohr for refereeing, many compliments on WIA facilities and Frampton's Crossbow set-up from both Teams and Bristol RFC, it was good to show what Frampton can offer to a wider audience and hopefully we will get the opportunity to invite back in the near future!

Also £60 raised on the day from the spectators for the Bristol Rugby Community Foundation (aka Ben Breeze et al).

Cheers, Tom
