Frampton 3s unbeaten run came to an end against a strong sara's side on Saturday . It was clear from the start that Frampton thirds again showed very little aspiration . Sara's used the slope well and went two tries up early on . Despite this Frampton plugged away and pressure in the centre made the ball go loose and Simon Goodwin picked up on half way . Goodwin initially raced away but soon slowed to a snail like pace as he was cheered on by his team mates , who remained on the half way line. Eventually Goodwin somehow crept over in the corner and Tom Bowen hall expertly converted . The second half brought a few changes but further tries closed the game out for sara's. Frampton had the last scores though as first Tony Bleakman used his win bonus ‘carrot’ to go over and very kindly spent it on beer later at the Three Brooks pub. Andy Pullen then rolled back the years to go over ,after a remarkable turn of pace that was probably due more to the slope of the pitch ,and Bowen Hall completed the scoring . There were some great performances from Simon Bond , Josh Creed ,Toby Creed and Man of Match Craig Pemble . The second half saw some injuries and veteran fly half Mike Weaver nearly made it into the front row again , it can only be a matter of time.
The highlight of the day, however , came before the game as there was a visit to the Frampton changing room by one of GBs 2012 Olympic divers ...…. Or was it Pete Zaffiro in his ‘Budgie smuggler’ speedo’s ?
