With bucket and spade in hand it was off down the M5 to Weston Super Mare for the trip to Hornets !
Buoyed by a great performance the previous week Fram started strongly and looked very determined. Both packs traded blows but Fram got their reward when following a scrum, Lewis at scrum half found Mike whose pass to Nick enabled him to stride clear of the chasing pack for the try. Fram continued to push forward and good runs by Roy and Charlie were giving the parents on the sidelines plenty to cheer about. However, the Hornets got back on level terms when a kick out by Fram bounced kindly for the home side and the player picked up and ran down the line for a try in the corner. Things could have got worse for Fram but for a try saving tackle right at the end of the half by Lewis as the teams went in level.
The second half started well for Hornets and some strong defending by Ben and Finn were keeping the home side out. Mike was ever a threat with some great jinking runs and some great support by Olley and Marcus meant Fram were always a threat. The home side took the lead though when following a penalty, the ball was worked wide for a try in the corner. An almost identical move minutes later extended the Hornets lead but Fram were down but certainly not beaten. The scrum was working really well for the visitors with Matt at hooker and with the strength of Jamie and Gabe Fram were finding success in this area. As they pushed forward they were awarded a penalty and the pass out to Nick saw him power across the line to score. Fram continued to push forward but alas time ran out on what was again another great display of rugby.
There were certainly improvements shown and as ever a great team spirit. Well done boys, some great passing, movement and tackling today.
