FCRFC 3 v's Thornbury RFC 9

Jamie, Jack and Mathew gave us strong platform from which to work from, some great rucking from George and Jacob. This lead to several opportunities to put points on the board. Eventually Royston made a break down the right wing and managed to avoid the Thornbury defence to score a lovely try in the corner. Nikolas powered through the line to put another try on the board. Rory and Leo in the centre worked well together and made some cracking runs and were unlucky not to be able to break through the Thornbury defence. After several weeks training in rucking and mauling it was wonderful to see the team utilising the skills they have been developing. Henry, Charlie and Olly worked well in maul situations and came close to driving over the line on several occasions. Our scrum half Marcus executed some lovely passes to feed the back line. Nick made several breaks and his perseverance was rewarded by yet another try.
