Fraserburgh Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of former Banks O'Dee striker Luke Barbour on a two year contract. Luke is no stranger to Broch fans having helped his former club knock out his new one from last season's Aberdeenshire Shield and also from his time at Keith in the Highland League. He will be hoping to forge a successful partnership with namesake Scott and brings a wealth of experience to the team after the loss of three players from last year's squad.
The club are also happy to confirm that another Barbour, Joe has signed on for another two years. The experienced goalkeeper provided cover last season to Edward Flinn and Paul Leask and will do so again this season. Joe made his debut as far back as season 2010/11 and has made 51 appearances for the club winning the Aberdeenshire Cup twice and the Shield once.
Another two players extending their current deals until July 2021 are Liam Norris & Andrew Hannar. Liam has featured 7 times for the first team since his debut in 2016/17 and scored his first goal for the club against Lossiemouth last season. The former Dons youth player had loan spells at Keith & Maud last season and will be hoping to push for more playing time next term given the departures of midfielders Michael Rae & Marc Dickson.
Andrew has made 8 appearances for the Broch since his debut at Turriff in December 2017 and scored twice a couple of months later at home to Fort William. He has been blighted with injury during the past season but having had a loan spell at Fraserburgh United he will also be hoping for more first team opportunities next season.
The club can also announce that another of the youth team has put pen to paper on a professional contract. Ross Coutts, who made his first team debut in the last game at Fort William last season has signed a one year deal. Ross will continue his development as part of the first team squad and play in the Aberdeenshire League. The former Link Up star looks to have a bright future ahead of him going by his assured display at Claggan Park.
Finally having indicated a desire to continue playing Marc Dickson has joined North Region Super League club Culter after reaching agreement on a transfer. I'm sure that all at Fraserburgh FC wish him well with his new club.
