Frickley Academy Under 11's Update - 18/10/15
Frickley Academy Under 11's started their campaign in the League Cup on Sunday away at Branton, a competition they finished runners up in last season.
An outstanding team performance including hat tricks from Ellison Greene and Billy Ratcliffe saw Frickley through to the next round.
The Blues went ahead in the first minute through Eddie Anderson who terrorised the defence throughout. Greene then made it 2 with a fine header before James Kirkham rounded the keeper to make it 3 at half time. Branton did create chances but were well marshaled by Frickleys defence.
In the second half Frickley went into overdrive with Lewis Woollands adding to the total before Ratcliffe and Greene finished off some great passing moves helping themselves to hat-tricks. Frickley's biggest win to date from a side improving each week.
Stan Armit, Billy Ratcliffe, James Kirkham and Ellison Greene were the pick of the Frickley players in a team where everyone contributed.
