Blues fail to generate power at Dynamo
I hate football in hot weather & yesterdays game did nothing to disavow me of that feeling, in fact it intensified it.
The Azzurri were down to the bare bones squad wise, with McGuire suspended & Jordan, Burton, Algar & Okafor all out injured. There was no lack of effort from the boys (on a baking hot day) but the application of the effort was a little awry & a goal in each half for the home team meant that we didn't come away with any rewards.
The Blues started brightly enough, & Luke Hinsley hit the bar with a cracking free kick, but once the visitors took the lead (against the run of play) we were up against it.
- Lukes free kick
- Sam L's volley near the death that would have won any goal of the month comp
- We had good numbers in attendance (again)
NOT SO BRIGHT SPOTS
- We lost
- Against 10 men
- We missed a penalty
WEBMASTER MOTM - no-one had a bad game but the 2 stand outs for me were Charlie Jemson at centre half & Sam Liversidge in centre mid & I'm giving the Glitterball to Jemmo.
TWITTER POLL MOTM - backed up by the above, with Sam winning it narrowly from Charlie. Thank you to everyone who voted.
131 through the gate, probably 1/3rd of that number being Frickley fans - a tremendous showing once more.
We've got a chance to get back on the horse very quickly as we play Stocksbridge at the Wezzie on Monday, kick off 3pm. See you all there
