Galaxy Touch originated in 1987 as a mens open touch team at the Tamaki touch competition in Panmure, Auckland, New Zealand. Currently renown as the largest touch club in the world with numerous teams competing in 9 countries worldwide.
Galaxy England was launched by Lawrence Vaike with the aid of "Mr Touch NZ" himself, Peter Walters a few years ago.
Galaxy London is a club that thrives on providing access to competitive and social competitions to all players - experienced and new.
Annual tours include among the many; Valencia Fallas (Spain), Paris GIF (France), and a coaching workshop in Europe.
July 2010 saw the inaugrual Galaxy London Touch Competition held in very hot conditions at Grasshoppers RFC. NZ Academy (invitational team coached by Pete Walters) swept the board in the Mixed, Mens and Womens categories. Other teams travelled from Scotland, Wales, and Jersey.
