First team 1-0 Cottenham

The firsts had a taste of cup action, hoping to go one further than last seasons cup final defeat. The visiting team were Cottenham who look an improved side compared to last season. GUFC struggled to convert numerous half chances until the deadlock was broken in the second half. The enigmatic Jimmy Walker latched on to a perfectly weighted pas from deep, from Steve Snelling, selling the defender wtih a feinted touch before duly rounding the keeper and slotting home whilst off balance, sublime. GUFC again failed to take chances to seal the victory which lead to a late flourish from the oppostion, Gamlingay stood firm to see out the game
