Gamlingay traveled the small 36 miles to March Town on the back of a good run, hoping to use the form to secure a cup semi final. Matt Steele had a strong squad at his disposal, and his team selection didn't let him down when they took an early lead. A free kick in their own half was thrown up field, Jamie Steele contested and won the header which put in form Jimmy Walker 1on1 with the keeper, there was only one winner 0-1 GUFC. The game then became a midfield battle with few chances for either team. March made the breakthrough in the second half with the striker taking on Matt Cowell to leave himself a tap in. The game then opened up with the prospect of penalties not being favored by either team, it was GUFC who made the breakthrough with a nice sweeping move, Ricky played the ball out wide to Jimmy who squared across the box leaving Coop's to fire home from close range. GUFC progressed to the semi finals.
