Expectations for the season ahead - Saturday Selby League
• our aim is to continue offering as much football as we can to all players and we'll do our best to give equal game time. This may not be possible on a match to match basis but over the course of the season things should balance out
• we will try to stick to positions as much as possible (acknowledging in-game subs will mean some shuffling) - this gives the lads chance to develop, have familiarity in their role and play to their teammates strengths
• the lads should turn up to training and matches to focus on football
• we ask the boys to respect their coaches and listen when being instructed - we don't ask for a lot but this is an area for improvement and ask for parents support here please
• it's essential that the lads respect referees and their decisions, even if they don't agree with them all the time (fines for yellow & red cards are not covered by the club!)
• we firmly believe that positive attitudes and preparation lead to positive match results
• we want the boys to enjoy their football
• we encourage the lads to speak openly and constructively to their coaches and teammates
