In the Emirates FA Cup Garforth have been drawn at home to Northern League side Morpeth Town in the Extra Preliminary Round. The tie will be played on Saturday 15th August (kick-off 3pm) and is understood to be the first ever meeting between the two clubs. Should we make it through this round we'd visit the winners of Nelson or one of last season's opponents, Newton Aycliffe in the Preliminary Round.

In the FA Vase the Miners will face local rivals Albion Sports in the First Qualifying Round, again at home. This tie will be played on Saturday 5th September (3pm kick-off). As in the FA Cup we'd be on our travels again should we prevail, the winners of Thackley vs Northern League side Whickham lying in wait.
