The NCEL today released the remaining fixtures of the coming 2021-22 season. After the previously mentioned opening league match at home to Maltby Main on 31st July and our visit to Shildon in the FA Cup on 7th August, we make the shorter journey to West Yorkshire neighbours and Premier Division new boys Emley AFC on Tuesday 10th. A cross-Leeds derby follows that on Saturday 14th when we host Albion Sports.

Looking at the rest of the fixtures, the festive season sees us host neighbours Thackley on Tuesday 28th December before we begin 2022 by making the journey to Bottesford Town on New Year's Day, by then a first visit in three years to Birch Park. In what feels like, in these uncertain times, an awfully long time away, a proper 'bogey ground' is saved until last, when we make the journey to AFC Mansfield on Saturday 2nd April.

Full fixtures will be available on the Garforth website asap, but in the meantime you can view them on the NCEL one. As ever fixtures are subject to progress in FA competitions, bad weather and whatever the dreaded 'C-word' may have left to throw at us.

To tie up a couple of loose ends, the NCEL League Cup and West Riding County Cup are set to go ahead this year after being cancelled last season. Town have received a bye to the Second Round of the League Cup; we await the draws of both that one and the WRCC.
