Garforth's pre-season kicks off at 7:45pm this Tuesday with the visit of NPL side Scarborough Athletic. The Seadogs finished eleventh in a 2020-21 Premier Division season curtailed after just eight league matches. May saw the resignation as manager of former Garforth captain Darren Kelly who was replaced by ex-Manchester United and West Brom midfielder Jonathan Greening.

The two sides met twice last season, both matches sadly played behind closed doors. Dramane Coulibaly was on target last August in a 3-1 defeat at the Bannister Prentice Stadium, whilst a late comeback by the Seadogs denied Town a win at York St John's University in December. Charlie Marshall, Jamie Barkway and Helmo Silva were on target for The Miners in a 3-3 draw.
