Parkstrife...

There were four changes to the Garforth line-up from Saturdays' trip to Rainworth. Tom Osbourne made his debut in goal, while Tim Robertson returned from suspension in a more advanced role than usual on the left.
Liam Hardey played his first part this year and Jordan Outerbridge stepped up from a place on the bench last time out.

The game got off to an explosive start when Curtly Martin-Wyatt beat two men and delivered a curling finish beyond Ben Brunt in the Parkgate goal.
Although they continued to press, Garforth couldn't manage the second goal that might have shredded the Steelmens' confidence.
Ben Thornton snatched at a glorious chance to level the score in the first half, but blasted over with the goal gaping.

A crazy six second half minutes swung the game back and forth, as Parkgate equalised, Garforth led again and then saw their lead slip again in controversial circumstances.

Jordan Turner “set the ball rolling” when he prodded a cross inside Osbournes' near post.
Jordan Outerbridge finished with the coolness Town supporters are starting to become accustomed to when he latched onto a terrific ball from Javen Benjamin.
Turner grabbed his second by bundling the ball over the line while seemingly jumping into Osbourne (a perfectly fine goal 100 years ago).

Parkgate grew in stature from that moment and were seemingly first to everything, giving Garforth no time on the ball at all.
Turner then turned provide for the wining goal when he whipped in a great ball behind the back line. Oliver Yates couldn't believe his luck when he tapped in without challenge.

Martin-Wyatt was at the centre of most things for Town and flashed a shot inches wide before another big talking point denied Garforth their best chance to grab a point.
The striker powered to the by-line where his cross was blocked by an arm. Garforths' huge protestations fell on deaf ears and the penalty claim was waved away.

Parkgate can be rightly proud of their win. They ran their socks off in the second half and more performances like this should see them trouble a few more teams.
