Dave Duguid - Garioch DOR "The introduction of the Coach of the Month award looks to highlight coaches or educators for their hard work, display of club values, dedication, extra efforts & personal development. Generally people will judge a coach on their success by the number of games won, tries scored or trophies in the cabinet - while yes, we want to be successful in that way but we want to be successful for the right reasons, equipped with the right tools to get us there & have the right people guiding us along the way. We've over 50 fantastic coaches at the club who are passionate & going above the curve to ensure rugby happens each week, so this monthly selection is our way of shining a light on these people, their hard work & their successes throughout the season, not chalked up against the tally of Win v Loses come the end of the season."

"David Edwards is our October Coach of the Month , Dave is held in high regard by the parents of the players he coaches & coaches who volunteer alongside him. With 5 nominations since the start of the season from club members, highlighting the extra efforts David goes to for his players, from additional support around coaching, personal support & mentorship at other sporting opportunities, detailing the training plan to players & organizing other parent helpers, while also imparting on life skills to the children. Overall David encompassed all of the best things we wish to have in a community grass roots coach, passion & dedication. Thank you Dave for inspiring the children in your team, your fellow coaches and parents to harness the true rugby spirit!"
