A Look Forward to the Clash Between Congleton and Garstang in Lancs/Cheshire One

Garstang make the long journey down the M6 to Congleton for the league fixture between the two sides.
Last year Congleton came out on top in both encounters. In the first ever meeting between the clubs at the end of September last year Garstang travelled poorly and they ended up losing comfortably by 34-10. The return fixture in January was much more competitive but a promotion-chasing Congleton side played a strong second half and edged Garstang out by 24-15.
Congleton have made a solid start to this campaign as they have won two from three with their only defeat coming at Orrell by 31-23 on the opening day. In their other games they have travelled well with an impressive victory in the Isle of Man against Ramsey as well as a solid win at Ellesmere Port.
For the trip Coach Gavin Barton shuffles his team once more as Harrison Pickervance is selected in the back row on his return from injury and Andy Garnett returns playing in the centre. Veteran Half Back Paul Brown also comes in for the first time this season as he takes up a place on the bench.
Team: Miller, Barton, Parkinson, Davies Taylor, Johnston, Pickervance, Pye, Billington, Rowbottom, Dugdale, Nickson (c), Garnett, Knowles, Bisby, Hewitt. Replacements: Brown, Everest, Thompson.
There is a bus to the game with the meeting time being 11:45 at the club with a return time by 20:30. There is plenty of space on the bus so supporters are more than welcome to join.
The Blues are at home yet again as they entertain Bolton 3rds.
Both games kick off at 15:00.
