Transport Sports Club (TSC) defeated Everest Cricket Club (ECC) by 5 runs at the Everest CC Ground to set up a clash with Demerara Cricket Club in the final.
TSC batting first were bowled out for 160 runs in 35.3 overs; Sunil Singh top scored with 51 runs and Charwayne McPherson contributed 24. Singh and McPherson formed a key partnership putting on 60 runs for the third wicket.
Bowling for Everest; Akshaya Persaud took 3 wickets for 20 runs, Richie Looknauth took 3 for 24 and Azad Mohamed took 2 for 29.
In reply Everest was dismissed for 155 runs in 39.4 overs; Akshaya Persaud scored 80 runs and Khemraj Ramdeen made 35.
Bowling for TSC; Oslyn Batson took 2 wickets for 22 runs, and Shaun Massiah took 2 for 34.
Transport will play Demerara Cricket club in the final which is slated for Saturday 25th March, 2017 at the Georgetown Cricket Club Ground.
