Ramdeen's 161 helps Everest Cricket Club defeat GNIC by an innings and 155 runs on 25 & 26 April 2015 at the Everest ground


Everest Cricket Club defeated GNIC by an innings and 155 runs on 25 & 26 April 2015 at the Everest ground.

Batting first, Everest scored an imposing 389 runs for 4 wickets declared. Khemraj Ramdeen made a brilliant 161 runs, Rafael Singh made 92 runs and Chris Surat made 52.

Bowling for GNIC; Orlando Fraser took 4 wickets for 107 runs.

GNIC could only manage a total of 234 runs from its two innings.

Bowling for Everest; Gavin Sookdeo and Kevin Paul each took 3 wickets in the first innings. Gavin Sookdeo returned to take 7 wickets in the second innings assisted by Javed Rasheed who took 3 wickets for 14 runs.

Gandhi Youth Organisation defeated Demerara Cricket Club by an innings and 13 runs on 25 & 26 April 2015 at the DCC Ground.

Batting first DCC were dismissed for 133 runs with Dennis Squires top scoring with 50 runs and Cleon McEwan making 43.

Bowling for GYO Trevon France took 4 wickets for and Surendra Hiralall took 3 wickets.

Gandhi in their first innings made 222 all out. Surendra Hiralall led the way with 53 runs, T. Liverpool made 52 and Alex Ramalho made 50.
Bowling for DCC; Keanu Harry took 4 wickets for 61 runs and Dennis Squires took 3 for 52.

Needing to make 99 runs to force GYO to bat again DCC was dismissed for a paltry 76 runs in their second innings. Once again the main destroyer was Trevon France with 5 wickets for 34 runs, D. Ramjattan and Garfield DeRouche each took 2 wickets.

Malteenoes Sports Club defeated Diplomats Sports Club 8 wickets on 25 & 26 April 2015 at the Malteenoes ground.

Diplomats Sports Club batting first made 166 all out. Devon Paul made 53 runs.
Bowling for Malteenoes; Vishal Narayan took 5 wickets for 54 runs, Imran Hassan took 3 wickets for 17 runs and Steven Sankar took 2 for 29.

In their first innings reply, Malteenoes was bowled out for 158 runs. Imran Hassan top scored with70 runs.
Bowling for Diplomats; Devon Paul took 5 wickets for 59 runs.

In their second innings Diplomats, with a small lead of 8 runs, could only manage 70 runs all out. Steven Sankar took 4 wickets for 20 runs and Delon Dalrymple took 3 for 23.

This left Malteenoes with a mere 79 runs for victory.
Malteenoes scored the required 79 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in just 15 overs.
