A Mark Steele century guided Geddington 1st Team to a 88 runs victory over Desborough Town at West Lodge Farm.
Steele was the main stay of the Geddington innings by scoring 104 off 137 balls as the visitors made 236-6 off their 50 overs, Jamie Kay (25*), Chris Murdoch (25), Mark Neave (24) and Tiaan Raubenheimer (23) were also in the runs. Jacob Bindley (2-75) was the pick of the Desborough bowlers with two wickets.
In reply, Kay (3-42) took three early wickets for Geddington as Desborough were reduced to 13-3. In the end the hosts were All Out for 148 with Ryan Richens (59*) top-scoring with an unbeaten half-century for the home side. Raubenheimer (4-48) was the pick of the Geddington bowlers with four wickets and there was also two for Murdoch (2-32) and one for Neave (1-20) as the visitors won with 9.2 overs to spare.
