Match Result: Old Northamptonians won by 10 runs.

Old Northamptonians 199-8 40 Overs, Geddington 189-9 40 Overs.

Geddington 1st XI 2020 season ended on Saturday, they were defeated by 10 runs in a close match against Old Northamptonians 1st XI at Geddington Cricket Club in the Northamptonshire Cricket League Premier Division Cup Quarter-Final.

Old Northamptonians batted first and made 199-8 off their 40 overs, Thomas Hafil (55) and Richard Kaufman (51) both made half-centuries with the bat for the visitors, Hafil and Kaufman put on 94 for the 3rd wicket partnership, before Toby Mitchell (10) and William Heathfield (19*) added late runs towards the end of innings to get the score up to 199. Adil Arif (2-41) and George Parker (2-52) both took two wickets each with the ball for Geddington, there was also a wicket each for Ben York (1-35) and Jack Parker (1-36), the other two wickets were Run-outs in the field from J Parker and Luke Thomas for the home side.

In reply, Geddington finished their innings on 189-9 off their 40 overs, J Parker (74* off 64 balls), in an innings which included 7 fours and 2 sixes, top-scored with an unbeaten half-century, Bradley Armer (45) and Harry Bolton (17) were the other main run-scorers with the bat for the home side, Armer and J Parker put on 62 for the 3rd wicket partnership, the highest partnership of the innings. Amrit Basra (8-0-48-3) took three wickets with the ball for Old Northamptonians, Kaufman (2-31) took two wickets, there was also a wicket each for Tom Webb (1-24), Rob White (1-37) and Daniel Waite (1-46) for the visitors.
