Geddington 1st Team were defeated by 82 runs at home against Peterborough Town 1st Team at Geddington Cricket Club.
Asim Butt (129* off 132 balls) top-scored with an unbeaten century for Peterborough Town in their 258-7 declared off their 49 overs, Marcus Howard (29) and Paul McMahon (21) were also in the runs for the visitors. Jamie Kay (10-3-13-3) was the pick of the Geddington bowlers with three wickets, Tiaan Raubenheimer (2-23) also picked up two wickets for the home side and there was also a wicket for Kyle Morrison and a run-out.
In reply, Geddington were 39-5 with Jamie Smith (4-52) and Joe Dawborn (1-20) picking up the early wickets for Peterborough Town. But then a half-century from Danial O'Callaghan (70) got the home side to 176 all out in 33 overs, Morrison (23) and Brodie Biddle (18) were also in the runs late on for the hosts. McMahon (3-48) and Lewis Bruce (2-23) were the other wicket-takers for the visitors as they won the match with 28 overs to spare.
