6th June 2015 can be a long time in cricket, that was the date that Geddington 1st Team got their last league win which was at home to Stony Stratford, but on Saturday the 1st Team returned to winning ways with a 8 wicket win away at Desborough Town 1st Team.
An unbeaten 80 off 64 balls from Shoaib Nasir guided Geddington to victory in the 30th over, Nasir and Chris Harrison (29*) put on an unbeaten 106 partnership for the 3rd wicket to guide the visitors to their target, Charlie Gingell (22) and Mark Steele (10) were the only two wickets to fall for the away side.
Earlier, Desborough Town batted first and made 158-8 off their 50 overs, Lee Pollard (38*) and Simon Renshaw (36) were the main run-scorers for the home side. Connor McAlinden (2-23) and Chris Murdoch (2-25) both took two wickets each for Geddington and there was also a wicket each for Jonathan Freeman, Tiaan Raubenheimer and Nasir for the visitors.
