Geddington 1st Team claimed their 12th league victory of the season with a 6 wicket win away at Wellingborough Indians 1st Team on Saturday.
Wellingborough Indians batted first and were All Out for 178 in 48 overs. Denish Champaneriya (58) top-scored for the home side with a half-century, Amit Patel (28) and Pritam Patel (20) were also in the runs, Champaneriya and Pritam Patel put on 76 for the 3rd wicket partnership for the hosts. Tiaan Raubenheimer (5-34) was the pick of the Geddington bowlers with five wickets, Raubenheimer was involved in 8 out of the 10 wickets to fall, taking two catches in the field, a run-out and five wickets with the ball, Luke Cummins (2-52) also took two wickets for the visitors and there was also a wicket each for Shoaib Nasir (1-29) and Jamie Kay (1-30).
In reply, Nasir (74) top-scored with a half-century for Geddington as they reached their target in the 35th over with loss of 4 wickets, Mark Steele (32) was also in the runs, both Nasir and Steele put on 94 for the 2nd wicket partnership, before Raubenheimer (21*) and Ben Lawman (10*) guided the visitors to victory. Muhibullah Saddiqi (2-31) took two wickets for Wellingborough Indians and there was also a wicket each for Pritam Patel (1-30) and Hitesh Sharma (1-37).
