An Impressive bowling spell from Jamie Kay and Luke Cummins guided Geddington 1st Team to a 9 wicket win away at Wollaston 1st Team on Saturday.
Wollaston batted first and were All Out for 85 in 39.1 overs, Kay claimed figures of 5-23 with the ball in his 15 overs for Geddington, Cummins also had good bowling figures of 3-26 from his 15 overs, Chris Murdoch (1-4) and Tiaan Raubenheimer (1-22) both took a wicket each for the visitors. Thomas Howes (29) was the only batsman to get past the twenties mark for the home side.
In reply, Mark Steele (38*) and Amit Dhadwal (35*) guided Geddington to their victory target in the 19th over, both Steele and Dhadwal put on an unbeaten 68 for the 2nd wicket partnership after the early loss of Charlie Gingell for 5. Christopher Perry (1-38) picked up the only wicket to fall for Wollaston.
