Geddington 1st Team got their first win since the 10th June after victory by 102 runs against Stony Stratford 1st Team at Ostlers Lane in Stony Stratford on Saturday.
Luke Cummins and Jamie Kay both took 9 wickets between them for Geddington in a brilliant bowling display as Stony Stratford were All Out for 93 in 31.4 overs, chasing 196 to win. Cummins took 5-39 off his 15 overs and Kay took 4-46 off his 15 overs with the ball, Chris Murdoch (1-0) picked up the other wicket to fall for the visitors. Alex Strong (23*) and Mark Hulbert (21) were the only two batsman to get past the twenties mark for the home side.
Earlier, Geddington batted first and made 195-7 off their 50 overs, Amit Dhadwal (81) top-scored with a half-century for the visitors, Jack Thurman (22*) and Chris Harrison (22) were also in the runs with the bat, Dhadwal and Harrison put on 69 for the 2nd wicket partnership. Vicram Sohal (3-35) took three wickets with the ball for Stony Stratford, Strong, James Warsop and Gus Miller all took the wicket each for the home side as well.
