Geddington 1st Team were defeated by 8 wickets against Northants Cricket League Premier Division leaders Peterborough Town 1st Team at Geddington Cricket Club on Saturday.
Geddington batted first and were All Out for 74 in 31.4 overs, Mark Edwards (10-4-19-4) took four wickets with the ball for Peterborough Town, there was also two wickets for Danny Mohammed (2-26), and one each for Josh Smith (1-2), Jamie Smith (1-11) and Rob Sayer (1-12) for the visitors. Adil Arif (20) top-scored with the bat for the home side, Bradley Armer (13) was the only other batsman to reach double figures.
In reply, Peterborough Town reached their victory target of 75 in the 14th over with two wickets down, Josh Smith (34*) top-scored with an unbeaten knock for the visitors, Chris Milner (24) was also in the runs with the bat, Milner and Josh Smith put on 55 for the 1st wicket partnership to get the innings off to a good start. George Parker (2-21) took two wickets with the ball for Geddington.
