Geddington 1st Team completed a League double with victory by 64 runs against Northampton Saints 1st Team at Northampton Saints Cricket Club on Saturday.
Geddington batted first and made 252-8 off their 50 overs, Chris Harrison (91) top-scored with the bat for the visitors, Harrison and Andrew Reynoldson (20) got the innings off to a good start by putting on 70 for the 1st wicket partnership, George Parker (50 off 30 balls) in an innings which included 4 fours and 5 sixes also scored a half-century, Adil Arif (29) and Benedict Harvey (21*) also added late runs with the bat to get the total up to 252, with Arif and G Parker putting on 74 for the 7th wicket partnership. Mohammad Shoaib Yaqub (3-37) took three wickets with the ball for Northampton Saints, there was also two wickets for Jake Higginbotham (2-53) and one each for Nick Bell, Jack Mousley and Mohammed Rizvi for the home side.
In reply, Tiaan Raubenheimer (5-29) took five wickets with the ball for Geddington, as Northampton Saints were All Out for 188 in 43.4 overs, Jack Parker (2-24) and Arif (2-33) both took two wickets each, there was also a wicket for Chris Murdoch (1-26) for the visitors. Zaakir Khawaja (54 off 48 balls) top-scored with a half-century in an innings which included 4 fours and 4 sixes, Mark Wolstenholme (44*), Emilio Gay (25) and Mousley (25) were also in the runs with the bat for the home side.
