Geddington 1st Team got their first league win since the 18th May, with victory by 100 runs against Oundle Town 1st Team in the NCL Premier Division match at Geddington Cricket Club on Saturday.
George Parker (6-63) was the star performer with the ball, as he took six wickets for Geddington, as Oundle Town were All Out for 148 in 41.3 overs chasing 249 to win, Chris Murdoch (12-6-14-2) and Adil Arif (2-17) both took two wickets each with the ball for the home side. Conor Craig (59 off 54 balls) top-scored with a half-century, Harrison Craig (39) was also in the runs with the bat for the visitors, the Craig brothers put on 89 for the 3rd wicket partnership.
Earlier, Geddington batted first and made 248-5 off their 50 overs, Bradley Armer (89) and Andrew Reynoldson (53*) both scored half-centuries with the bat, Chris Harrison (48) and Jack Parker (25 off 18 balls) were also in the runs for the home side, Harrison and Armer got the innings off to a good start by putting on 117 for the 1st wicket partnership. Joe Charlton (2-52) and Jack Bolsover (2-69) both took two wickets each with the ball for Oundle Town.
