Geddington 1st Team got their first NCL Premier Division victory, with an 8 wicket win against Desborough Town 1st Team at Desborough Town Cricket Club on Saturday.
Desborough Town batted first and were All Out for 100 in 38.5 overs, Jake Bindley (49) top-scored with the bat for the home side, Simon Renshaw (19) and Jack Bulat (10) were the only other two batsman to reach double figures. George Parker (4-32) took four wickets with the ball for Geddington, there was also three wickets for Chris Murdoch (3-13) and two for Al Mahmud Hasan (2-28) for the visitors with the ball.
In reply, Geddington reached their target in the 23rd over with 8 wickets to spare, Bradley Armer (41*) top-scored with the bat for the visitors, Chris Harrison (35) was also in the runs, Armer and Harrison got the innings off to a good start by putting on 67 for the 1st wicket partnership. Sam Harris (1-30) took a wicket with the ball for Desborough Town.
