Geddington 1st XI made it three wins out of four league games, with a 13 runs victory against Horton House 1st XI at Horton House Cricket Club on Saturday.
Geddington batting first, were 19-3 early on in their innings, before Jack Parker (78) top-scored with a half-century in an innings which included 11 fours and 2 sixes and Andrew Reynoldson (29) put on 103 for the 4th wicket partnership, Benedict Harvey (28* off 26 balls) and Adil Arif (24 off 21 balls) added late runs to get the visitors up to 197-7 off their 40 overs. William Knibbs (3-58) took three wickets with the ball for Horton House, Ewan Cox (2-39) also took two wickets, there was also a wicket each for Cameron Blake (1-14) and Mark Wolstenholme (1-25) for the home side.
In reply, Horton House finished their innings on 183-8 off their 40 overs, Gus Miller (57) top-scored with a half-century for the home side, Cox (30), Wolstenholme (26) and Ryan Turner (22) were also in the runs with the bat. Chris Murdoch (8-0-28-2) and Reynoldson (6-0-33-2) both took two wickets each with the ball for Geddington, there was also a wicket each for Ben York (1-28), Arif (1-31) and Parker (1-44) for the visitors, the other wicket to fall was Run-out in the field from Murdoch.
