Geddington 2nd XI 2020 season ended on Saturday, after defeat by 27 runs against Brixworth 2nd XI in the Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 3 Cup Quarter-Final at Brixworth Cricket Club.
Tiaan Raubenheimer (8-0-29-5) was the main performer with the ball for Geddington, as he took five wickets, as Brixworth batted first and made 156-8 off their 40 overs, Cole McWilliam (8-0-18-2) took two wickets, there was also a wicket for Lee Smith (8-0-29-1) for the visitors. Phil Perryman (56) top-scored with a half-century for the home side, Adam Shulver (21), Jonty Craven (17) and Ceri Roberts (16) were the other main run-scorers with the bat.
In reply, Geddington were All Out for 129 in 38.3 overs, Sam Smith (29) top-scored with the bat for the visitors, Raubenheimer (22), Mark Thomas (20) and McWilliam (17) were the other main run-scorers. Stuart Bonthuys (8-3-13-3) was the pick of the Brixworth bowlers with three wickets, there was also two wickets each for Chris Richmond (2-10) and Richard Foster (2-36), and there was also a wicket from Fraser Bennett (1-17) for the home side.
