Mark Pearson and Steve Toseland were the star performers with ball and bat for Geddington 2nd Team in their 6 wicket win at home against Wellingborough Town 2nd Team on Saturday.
Wellingborough Town batted first and were All Out for 169 in 44 overs, Pearson (5-41) was the pick of the Geddington bowlers with five wickets, Callum Fox (3-17) also picked up three wickets for the home side, Marcus Knight & Mark Neave also took a wicket each. James Westley (47) top-scored with the bat for the visitors, Alex Bendon (32), Ben Dhaliwal (27) and Ryan Lovell (25) were all in the runs.
In reply, Geddington reached their target of 170 in the 40th over, Toseland (72) top-scoring for the hosts with a half-century, Mark Thomas (34) and Toseland put on 113 for the 1st wicket partnership, Danial O'Callaghan (24) was also in the runs, before Lee Sutherland (17*) and Neave (9*) guided the home side to victory. Lovell (3-27) took three wickets with the ball for Wellingborough Town.
