The match between Geddington 2nd Team & S & L Corby 1st Team went down to the last ball of the game with Mark Toseland hitting the winning runs on the very last ball for Geddington to win the match by 2 wickets.
Geddington in reply to S & L Corby's 256-9 off their 50 overs were 38-4, before half-centuries from Mark Neave (86) and Lee Sutherland (77) got the hosts back on track, both Sutherland and Neave put on 130 for the 5th wicket partnership, then Mark Pearson (40) was also in the runs, Sutherland and Pearson put on 67 for the 7th wicket partnership and then both were out and they were on 249-8 still needing 8 to win, before M Toseland hit the winning runs. Tony Thurman (3-69) took three wickets with the ball for S & L Corby, Tommy Reid (2-29) also took two wickets for the visitors.
Earlier, S & L Corby batted first and made 256-9 off their 50 overs, Jack Thurman (103) top-scored for the visitors with a century, T Thurman (55) also scored a half-century, both J Thurman and T Thurman put on 160 for the 1st wicket partnership, Jeff Simmons (46*) was also in the runs. M Pearson (5-37) was the pick of the Geddington bowlers with five wickets, Matt Knight (3-78) also took three wickets for the home side and there was also a wicket for Neave (1-43).
