Geddington 2nd Team were defeated by 61 runs against Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 3 leaders Heyford 1st Team at Geddington Cricket Club on Saturday.
Heyford batted first and made 279-9 off their 50 overs, Simon Legge (63) and James Edwards (56) both made half-centuries with the bat for the visitors, Martyn Cory (47), Will Cooper-Harris (22*), Kyle Browne (22) and Matthew Baker (21) were also in the runs. Colin Judd (3-26) took three wickets with the ball for Geddington, there was also two wickets each for Ben York (2-46) and Cameron Braans (2-49) and one each for Ned Wilson and Jack Connelly for the home side.
In reply, Geddington were All Out for 218 in 46 overs, Brando Biddle (54) top-scored with a half-century for the home side, Braans (25), Harry Bolton (24) and Sam Smith (23) were also in the runs with the bat. Edwards (3-41) and Rhys Hopkins (3-46) both took three wickets with the ball for Heyford, there was also two wickets for Jacob Gilder (2-51) for the visitors.
