Geddington 2nd Team won a close Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 3 match by 3 runs against Old Northamptonians 3rd Team at Northampton School For Boys on Saturday.
Colin Judd (4-41) took four wickets with the ball for Geddington, as Old Northamptonians were All Out for 191 in 49 overs, chasing 195 for victory, Ben York (3-36) also took three wickets, there was also two for Lee Smith (2-24) and one for Harry Bolton (1-14) for the visitors. Dave Watkin (57) top-scored with a half-century for the home side, Jed Jenkins (31) and Richard Blank (20) were the other main run-scorers with the bat.
Earlier, Geddington batted first and made 194-7 off their 50 overs, Joshua Knight (36) top-scored for the visitors, there were also runs with the bat from Judd (31), Mark Thomas (28) and Lee Sutherland (26). James Hill (4-40) took four wickets with the ball for Old Northamptonians, there was also a wicket each for Anup Patel, Levi Draper and Jenkins for the home side.
