Geddington 2nd Team were defeated by 10 runs against Wollaston 2nd Team at Geddington Cricket Club, in the Northants Cricket League Division 3 match on Saturday.
Wollaston batted first and were All Out for 194 in 48.5 overs, Paul Wilkinson (54) top-scored with a half-century, there was also contributions with the bat from John Pike (30), Simon Driver (29) and Steve Musgrave (24) for the visitors, Driver and Wilkinson put on 70 for the 6th wicket partnership, after being 66-5. Sam Smith (3-16) and Jack Connelly (3-49) both took three wickets each with the ball for Geddington, Ned Wilson (2-26) also took two wickets, there was also a wicket each for Lee Smith and Marcus Knight for the home side.
In reply, Geddington were All Out for 184 in 49 overs, Richard Loak (35) top-scored with the bat for the home side, Mark Thomas (27) and Wilson (25) were also in the runs. Driver (2-16), Musgrave (2-19) and Joshua Steggles (2-21) all took two wickets each with the ball for Wollaston, there was also a wicket each for Callum Robertson, Wilkinson and Pike for the visitors.
