Geddington 2nd Team ended their Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 3 2019 season with a 45 runs defeat against Horton House 2nd Team at Horton House Cricket Club on Saturday.
Horton House batted first and made 267-3 off their 50 overs, Michael Richardson (115*) top-scored with an unbeaten century in an innings which included 16 fours and 1 six, Ryan Turner (62) also scored a half-century, Stephen Finch (25*) and John Wolstenholme (20) were also in the runs with the bat for the home side, Richardson and Finch but on an unbeaten 107 partnership for the 4th wicket. Joshua Knight (2-55) took two wickets with the ball for Geddington, there was also a wicket for Colin Judd (1-37) for the visitors.
In reply, Geddington finished their innings on 222-8 off their 50 overs, Ned Wilson (78*) top-scored with an unbeaten half-century, there was also contributions with the bat from Knight (30), Harry Spence (29), Judd (23) and Jack Connelly (21*) for the visitors. Zahid Mirza (4-30) took four wickets with the ball for Horton House, there was also two wickets for Thomas Knibbs (2-38) and one each for Wolstenholme and Ben Jordan for the home side.
