Geddington 3rd Team defeated Mears Ashby 2nd Team by 6 wickets at Mears Ashby Cricket Club on Saturday.
Mears Ashby batted first and were All Out for 133 in 39 overs, Jamie Chamberlain (63) top-scored with a half-century for the home side, Jordan Blunsom (16) and Stuart Gray (15) were the only other two batsman to reach double figures for the hosts. Miles Knight (5-29) was the pick of the Geddington bowlers with five wickets, Richard Spence (2-34) also took two wickets for the visitors and there was also a wicket for Harry Bolton (1-9).
In reply, Geddington reached their target with 10 overs to spare, Paul Rowden (40) top-scored with the bat for the visitors, Alfie Napier (27) and Knight (20*) were also in the runs, Mark Byers hit the winning boundary for the 3rd Team to claim their 8th success of the season. Gray (3-35) was the pick of the Mears Ashby bowlers with three wickets, Kulendra De Vass (1-23) was the other wicket-taker for the home side.
