Alfie Napier scored his first century of his career for Geddington 3rd Team in their 217 runs victory against Horton House 4th Team at Burton Latimer Cricket Club on Saturday.
Geddington batted first and made 283-3 off their 40 overs, Napier (138*) top-scored for the home side with an unbeaten century which included 27 fours in his innings, Bob Wilson (39) and Roger Paterson (38*) were also in the runs, both Napier & Paterson put on an unbeaten 148 partnership for the 4th wicket. Nilesh Jhala (2-27) was the pick of the Horton House bowlers with two wickets.
In reply, Horton House were All Out for 66 in 31.3 overs, Mike Barnatt (17*) and James Martin (12) were the only two batsman to reach double figures for the visitors. Glenn Bell (3-11) took three wickets with the ball for Geddington, Michael Bolton (2-6) and Matt Johns (2-19) both took two wickets each and there was also a wicket each for Wilson (1-7) and Harry Spence (1-18).
