Geddington 3rd Team got back to winning ways with victory by 99 runs against Brixworth 3rd Team in the Northants Cricket League Division 9 match at Burton Latimer Cricket Club on Saturday.
Geddington batted first and made 181-8 off their 40 overs, Mark Pearson (82) top-scored with a half-century for the home side, Harry Spence (44) and Harry Bolton (22) also contributed with the bat, Pearson and Spence put on 94 for the 2nd wicket partnership for the hosts. Iain Bhagwadin (5-22) took five wickets with the ball for Brixworth, there was also a wicket each for James Knight, Adnaan Mukhtar and Mohammed Usmaan Mukhtar for the visitors.
In reply, Brixworth were All Out for 82 in 19.5 overs. Stanley Kirk (3-9) took three wickets with the ball for Geddington, there was also two wickets each for Caitlyn Connelly (2-0) and Archie Colwill (2-19), and one each for Pearson (1-17) and Bolton (1-24) for the home side. John Mayer (18) top-scored with the bat for the visitors.
