Bowden 2nd XI V Geddington 3rd XI Match Report - Saturday 8th August 2020.

Geddington 3rd Team were defeated by 3 wickets against Bowden 2nd Team, in the Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 6 match at Bowden Cricket Club on Saturday.

In reply, Bowden were 27-6, chasing 163 to win, but half-centuries from Anthony Roberts (56) and Ryan Wilson (53*) guided the home side to victory with 3 wickets to spare, in the 34th over, Roberts and R Wilson put on 85 for the 7th wicket partnership, before R Wilson and Tim Treadaway (16*) put on an unbeaten 51 for the 8th wicket, to guide them to the win. Archie Colwill (2-14), Stanley Kirk (2-17) and Sathya Babu (2-33) all took two wickets each with the ball for Geddington, there was also a wicket for Brando Biddle (1-39) for the visitors.

Earlier, Geddington batted first and made 162-6 off their 40 overs, David Goodjohn (33*), Mark Pearson (31) and Brando Biddle (27) were the main run-scorers with the bat for the visitors. Roberts (2-25) took two wickets with the ball for Bowden, there was also a wicket each for R Wilson (1-18), Lee Wilson (1-21), Jensen Colley (1-30) and Michael Brammer (1-31) for the home side.
