Geddington 3rd Team were defeated by 5 wickets against Stony Stratford 3rd Team, in the Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 6 match at Overstone Park Cricket Club on Saturday.
In reply, Stony Stratford were 75-5, chasing 189 to win, before an unbeaten 84 off 40 balls, in an innings which included 7 fours and 7 sixes from Deepak Ravikumar guided the visitors to victory with 5.4 overs to spare, Asad Awan (31*) also finished unbeaten with the bat, as both Ravikumar and Awan put on an unbeaten 114 partnership for the 6th wicket. Sathya Babu (8-2-19-3) was the pick of the Geddington bowlers with three wickets, there was also a wicket each for Dilan Chotai (1-21) and Shane Ling (1-35) for the home side.
Earlier, Brodie Biddle (76 off 76 balls), in an innings which included 11 fours and 2 sixes, top-scored with a half-century for Geddington in their 188-9 off their 40 overs, Stanley Kirk (44) and Archie Colwill (21) were the other main run-scorers with the bat for the home side. Anish Katechia (2-28) and Josie Groves (2-44) both took two wickets each with the ball for Stony Stratford, there was also a wicket each for Thomas Hoy (1-20), Steve Bellew (1-21) and Neil Fewtrell (1-38) for the visitors.
